If you can't afford/or aren't into buying artbooks but just love you art, than check out cgsociety.org, go to the Forum and view the 2D Gallery and Choice Gallery. cgsociety is a great place to learn and improve to for those who are wanting to take their art up a notch. I just wish I had the ambition to do so myself, but who knows what the future holds.

So, in the recent weeks I've started working again. Got a job, that is, at the local Movie Gallery. Note that I'm in a position where I don't need money or need to work anytime in the near future (Yes, strange and a bit conceded to say but it's the truth). So I'm mainly working just to not dip into my abundant savings anymore.

I'd really like to go back to school and get an Art BA, as it stands I have a BA in History with a minor in Art. That or I'd like to get a Masters Degree in Liberal Studies or European History.  Not to open any particular career options in the future mind you, but simply because I think I'd enjoy it. I really enjoyed College as it stands, all five years and 140 hours of it. And this college is especially cheap, as well as I could easily attain a Grad-Job or return to my old Work-Study job (playing on a computer, while saying hi to people and answering phones). But I don't know, I'm just sorta stuck doing nothing. That's why I got a job.

Speaking of that job, I'll be working today from 9-5 without any breaks. Yes, that's legal here in Arkansas. I love my boss to death but I'm still a bit irked by it and hope it won't be happen regularly. Our agreement was 15-20 hours a week, not 30 but she's promised me this is a one time deal (like last weeks 25?) because of some company consolidations she's had to go out and help with. Anyways, it's more money I don't necessarily need but hey, the more savings I have the better off I'll be in the future, I need to just look at it that way.  Anyways, it just gets terribly boring there. I like to either have computer access or something to constantly do. Like checking people out, cleaning the store, ect. I dusted the entire damn store yesterday, two hours, and not a single customer came in! I didn't even have to dust, that was for the sunday person but hey, I was bored.

Though I have nothing to really complain about. It's an easy job, I'm making more than enough to pay my tiny bills/rent, and still have time to play my video games (Fallout 3 Currently) and still doodle here and there. And let me not forget about my amazing boyfriend, going on a year and a half. Life is good, even if I'm bitching about such tiny things. I think we should all try to be thankful for what we have, and not what we don't or what we have that we dislike.

Anyways, on the Art Side of things. I'm trying to comment more frequently, and also trying to raise the bar on myself. Hence if you look at my new Deviant 'Warmth'. I do plan on working on this more, and adding more tiny details. It's been awhile since I just drew for the sake of drawing and for myself, instead of doing some (sorry guys) half-assed 'anime' pieces for a social-avatar website (Gaia) I hardly even care about anymore.  

So once the holiday vacation starts, I'm planning on doing a random quick-draw theme challenge with my friend. If anyone else would like to join, that'd be awesome. We're simply going to post a series of themes to be completed on any given day of the week, such as 'Fish'. The goal is that you can't spend more than an hour on it but that you MUST use a photo-reference. Doesn't matter if it's good or not, traditional or digital, or if you can even tell if it's a fish. You gotta post it. This might be easier to do in the DA Forums, well we'll be brain storming. Perhaps we'll start a 'challenge-contest' as well. Though I couldn't even begin to imagine what the prizes could be, other than you maybe being allowed to put forth an idea that everyone has to draw? Hmmm.. Brainstorming is welcomed!

Seems I should go get dressed for work now, if I want to have time to get me some tastey McDonalds breakfast.
